Addie Update

Hello again!

Today was a special day in the David Bird family. Katie and Reed officially graduated! They were able to walk together this morning during the 8:00 AM graduation ceremonies.

Addie got to stay home with her Aunt Sarah! This is the first time Katie has been away from Addie for such a long time. She was ready to go home and see her darling baby. Addie and Sarah got a long just fine. They both had napped first thing in the morning - since it started at 6:00 AM, they eat a little and played.

Addie is doing so well, she has grown 1 1/2 inches longer and she weights 4 lbs. 5 Oz's.

Happy News!

Addie was able to come home Monday afternoon! Both Katie and Reed had a hard night last night getting use to having use to having their darling baby home with them. They will have to get use to all of her little sounds and movements before they will sleep much at night. I hope for Katie's sake that Addie sleeps through the night before her Uncle Matthew learned to sleep at night. He did not sleep at all during the night until he was over 3 months old.

Addie has truly been a blessing. The timing of her birth at the same time as my Mother's passing has reminded me of how wonderful it is to have the gospel in our lives. We know that we will be together again and Mom will be able to spend time with her darling Great-grandchild some day.

I have also learned that I need to express my love for all of you more often. You are all so important to our family. We love you and look forward to many more memories through the years.

This is a tribute to my Mom.

She was a wonderful person, she had a hard life, but she made the best of her situation. She was talented and beautiful. I will miss her.

Addie Update

Hello Everyone,

Addie is growing and progressing so fast that she may be home before we know it!

She has been taken off of all of her "I-vees" and monitors. She still has the tube for feeding, but she is learning to eat on her own, so that will be gone soon.

Addison Katherine Abbott

I had to show you more pictures of Addi. She is doing well, a little jauntice but she is spending a little time under the light today, so she will be good as new in not time.



Katie is doing well. She still has the head aches, but not as bad as before. Hopefully she will be able to rest alittle better now that she is at home. She will spend many hours at the hospital with Addi, until she is big enough to come home. I'll keep you updated on her progress.
