Winter Blues

Hello everyone!
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring! David is outside blowing the snow off of our driveway. It is 9:00 pm and we have at least 4 more inches from this afternoon and evening. I know you are in the same situation as we are, but I have to blow off a little steam about the ever ending snow of 2008. This is the type of January that Jonathan would have loved.
Alittle about Jonathan - He is doing well. He had his 1st baptisms last friday. He was in charge of the whole evening, and the couple asked him to baptize them. He said that he was alittle worried because they were both much larger than he is. But as of his last letter, he says that the evening went very well and he has another baptism set for this coming friday.
I'm sorry about the lack of pictures from the last post. I will try to make up for that this time. So here are some of the pictures from Christmas time.
I am also adding a picture of the quilt I made for MCCalls Quilting Magazine. It is made from the next fabric line I designed.
I will write again to let you know any thing I know. So, you better let me know whats going on so that I can spread the word.

See you soon - Laurie

Happy Holidays!

Today is December 2nd and it finally looks like Christmas at our house. We received at least 10 inches on Saturday. Matts got to shovel the snow at least 2 times before it stopped snowing. then he helped the neighbors. We have not had a big storm like this one for a couple of years and Jonathan would have loved it. Here are the pictures we took to send to him.
Jonathan is doing very well. He was able to eat 2 Thanksgiving dinners this year. And he has 4 or 5 people close to baptism. They are having a problem with smoking, so hopefully they will be able to over come their smoking habit.
We missed the Cousins Party yesterday, but we are looking forward to next Saturday. We did get to spend some time with Kellie. She stayed with us Saturday night and then we went to church together. Kellie you are welcome anytime, stay overnight, or just come to visit.
It is time for the First Presidency Christmas Devotional, I better go. See all of you soon!

Jonathan has been transfered to Harrison, Arkansas. He says it is beautiful and he is living

on a par 3 golf course. They can play on the golf course on their P-day. His companigon is from

Logan Utah, and he seems to get a long with him well. His new address is: 2104 Cypress #11,

Harrison, AR 72601.

It is still beautiful, just like it was when we moved into our house 19 years ago. Happy Thanksgiving!

Pictures from Robert and Rebecca's

Here are some pictures from our night in Idaho. My battery died before I was able to get a picture of Grandma Bird.

October 6, 2007

Hello everyone!

We are visiting the Bird's in Idaho! It has been snowing and cold, but it is beautiful now.

Claire is coloring beautiful pictures, Corinne has been laughing at us all night, but she is has been alot of fun, Mark has been singing in the shower and Greg is watching the football game with his Dad, Uncle David and Matts. Jacqui is at work so she has missed all of the fun.

Rebecca has been a wonderful cook and we still have home made apple pie to eat. They look like a pie master made them, we will have to make sure the family cookbook has her recipe.
