Our family trip to Cancun
We stayed in a beautiful hotel with swimming pools for children and adults, and infinity pool that looks out over the ocean. The beach was right off of the pools and the beach was white. It was not too hot to walk on and had mysterious large hollowed out areas.

Gracie felt right at home. She loved the water and the beach more than Addie. Addie had a great time also, she is a little more timid in the water

We took some time to take our family pictures, we do have a picture with everyone together, but I thought these were fun to show.
A look at one of the pools, with another pool below. Jonathan wanted to stay in the pools all day and even went back out before bed.
This is our trip to EL Ray, some ruins just down from the hotel. It was so interesting to see how the buildings were built and have survived through the years. It was also the home for at least 500 Iguanas!

This was one of the views of the beach from our patio.
We spent one day at the small island just off of Cancan, Majeres, playing on the beach and eating lunch at a small dinner right on the ocean.
The surf was very gentel on the island, so the girls had a wonderful time running in and out of the water.
Both of the girls loved the plane rides. We had to go through Dallas and they thought it was one of the best parts of the trip.

This is another view of the swimming pool area.

We had a great time and would love to go back some time. Not for a while though.
The only draw back to me was that is was so hot, even the kids thought it was hot. It is pretty bad when you need a towel to walk around out side.
But it was worth it.

Let's go!

Disneyland 2012

We had a wonderful time at Disneyland and the California Adventure Parks. David and I were staying at the Disneyland Hotel for his clients meetings and the kids came down to join us after the meetings were over.

The first day they were there we visited the beach, Grandpa, Grace and Addie made a huge sand castle, Reed had swim in the ocean and the rest of us played in the waves. We did not have our swimming suits on since it was Sunday, but it was a beautiful day at the Huntington Beach.

The next 2 days were full of rides and fun at Disneyland. It was hot, so it was nice to be able to go back to the hotel and let Grace have a nap and swim in the middle of the day.

Our hotel room was on the side of the hotel with a deck we could sit on outside. It was the perfect place to watch the fire works each night, we could turn on the music and hear the music that went along with the show.

Addie loved everything, well, except for the Monsters Inc. and Ariels ride, but she loved the rest. She met the Princesses and had a wonderful time at It's a Small World.

Grace is happy and had fun, but not quite as much as Addie. Next time she goes she will enjoy it much more.

We have had a fun and busy summer, now it is time to get ready for the fall, school and winter ( not too soon I hope).
Bye for now

We have been on a couple of fun trips in the last 2 weeks. Our first trip was to Sun Valley for the Utah State Bar Convention. David had to talk a couple of classes while we were there, but the rest of us were able to enjoy the beautiful area and relax together.

Katie, Addie and Grace drove up with us, and Reed came up later, so it was David and the girls. We stayed at a smaller condo for the first 3 nights and Sarah got to sleep on the floor. She is a good sport to have a bad back and to be jumped upon in the morning to wake up.

The last 3 nights we were able to rent a house that was wonderful. Well, the outside was wonderful. We had a beautiful pool all to ourselves, along with a hot tub and 6 bedrooms/bathrooms. The house was alittle old inside, but it we had a great time anyway. Here are the pictures from that trip.

Merry Christmas!

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We have had a wonderful year. We started with Matthew leaving on his mission and then welcoming Gracie to our family in May.
Matts is doing well on his Mission. He is in Iguala. Mexico, a small town in the lower middle part of the country. This is his 2nd area and he has had 4 companions. He may be transfered to another area in the near future. If you would like to know more about his mission and see some of his pictures, you can log on to his blog - www.eldermatthewbird.blogsopt.com.
We get to talk to him soon and I'll post more after Christmas.

Grace is growing so fast, she is a happy baby who smiles at any one who talks to her. She has a precious smile and beautiful blue eyes. I will post pictures after Christmas.

Love to all of you from all of us!

The Summer is over!

Our last month of summer was full of fun. Gracie was blessed and we finally finished Katie's cub board doors for her kitchen, she hang a few pictures and started a quilt for Gracie's crib all before her blessing.

Then David, Sarah Jonathan and I went down to California for a few days.
We had a fun time while David had to work in San Jose at the Winchester Mystery House. Then we spent a few days in San Fransisco.

Jonathan leaves for BYU next week and things will be very quiet again.

Matthew has been transfered to a new area. He does not know where it is on the map, but he says he will let us know as soon as he can. He has a new companion that does not speak English, so he will learn the language well now.

Here are a few photos from the last weeks, and of course I did not get them in the right order again, but I'm not going to change them, because I might lose them. I am learning!

We could see the bridge! What a pretty day.

Sarah was a good sport and poised for me
