I'm late with my Easter Greeting because we were in St. George. It was beautiful and warm.
Katie and Reed spent their Easter in Idaho Falls with the Abbott's. We missed them, but we know that we are very lucky that they are so close to us.
Jonathan is doing well in his new area. It has been hard for him to move to this area. He has not had the support from the ward that he has had in other areas. And he is the senior companion with a missionary who has been out longer than he has. This is the second time that he has had a companion who needed his help. We are very proud of him, and how much he is growing both spiritually and personally.

I had to change some security settings on this blog because we have been getting Spam comments. The only people that can comment now are members of the blog. This should be everyone in the family so if you cannot comment email me and I will add you as a memeber. Please feel free to keep commenting and posting!

New Blog
I am starting a new blog of my quilts. I know you have all seen them, but this is for anyone who has not seen them. I'm hoping to have a web site soon, but this is going to fun for now. I will let you know the name of my blog as soon as I get it up and going.

Congratulations Chris & Shanny
Congratulations to Chris & Shanny!
We are about to have a new "Bird Family" in our family. It seems like it was just a couple of years ago when I was riding "Puff the Magic Dragon" roller coaster with Chris. Then a few years later we were riding the "Rocking Roller Coaster" in Disney World, Orlando, FL. I tried to find a few pictures of Chris growing up, but most of them are still on our old computers. But I did find this darling picture!

These are a few years later!
We are praying for Nikki and Josh. I know that things will go well next week for you Nikki. We love you, Josh and your darling Madison & Tanner.
Jonathan has a new address. He has moved to Lebanon, Missouri. It is very different from the last city. He does not have a car and this area is not as hilly. That is good if you have a bike instead of a car. He is also a Senior Companion!
Here is his address:
281 North Jackson, Apt. 1
Lebanon, Missouri 65536
I'm so happy that the sun has been out for more than a few hours. Maybe spring really is coming! I'll see all of you soon. - Laurie

Pictures of Elder Jonathan Bird

Hi, I just received some pictures from Jonathan, I thought you might like to see a few of them.
The pictures are from Jonathan and his Christmas presents, before they were unwraped and after when he is modeling his new vest & tie. Another one is Jonathan showing the snow that they had in his backyard. And one is of the Elders in his area.

Happy Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day!
I hope you are all safe at home, work or school. This morning as I watched the news, Tooele looked just like our house. They were dumped on! And I know many other parts of the valley were hit.
Jonathan is moving this Saturday, to Lebenon, MO. It is the farthest north his mission extends in Missiouri. He will be a senior compagion, but he says that he has been acting as one for the last few months anyway. He is happy and working hard. He is sending some pictures of his investors who were baptised 2 weeks ago. I will post them when they arrive.
We had a great time making frozen dinners on Monday. We ate one of the already and it was wonderful. I hope the Chicken & Rice Soup is OK. I'm afraid I messed up the rice. Next time I'll mind my own business and just follow the receipe.
I don't know if I have any new pictures, if I do I'll post them now. And I'll talk to you later!
